Bernard Manning.
Formula One.
Spanish Football.
AI articles about Tycho Brahe having a false nose.
People jumping off things.
Indians accidentally setting fire to themselves.
Aircraft taking off and landing some of which aren’t real.
Formula One, again.
Classic military aircraft.
Football fan banter.
People nearly having accidents.
More military aircraft.
Cancelled military aircraft.
Former World War Two Cold War Transport aircraft.
Old photos of towns nowhere near me.
Old punk bands that may never have existed.
Old Pubs in Tewkesbury.
1950’s Formula One Cars.
1960’s Formula One Cars.
1970’s Prog Rock bands I never liked.
AI articles about Old High Streets in towns nowhere near me.
AI articles about old formula one cars.
Actually, old formula one cars are a really nice shape.
Left-wing sounding memes that don’t really make sense.
The English Folk Dance and Song Society.
An AI article about classic UK comedy that features Carve Her Name With Pride.
A meme about On The Buses.
In the photo the actor who played Blakey
Is giving a Nazi salute.
Mmmmm.
Okay, bots, I’ll grant you,
The old cars are pretty,
But, even as a six-year-old,
I knew On The Buses was bobbins.
Some of this may not be 100% as it happened.
The bot dialogue is a rhetorical device.
Oh look! Another cancelled aircraft,
This time, an artist’s impression
Of a proposed nuclear powered bomber.
This poem is now developing the awareness
That a reader may speculate at this point
About what I might have clicked on,
Looked at for a moment,
Or spoken about in the presence of my iPad.
But I, essentially,
Am a cucumber with anxiety,
A bowel with a conscience,
A collision of coincidence with purpose,
And don’t want you to do that, really.
However, I have limited influence
on what you might think,
As this poem has just demonstrated.
