Read moreDetailsBorn in St. Louis, Missouri, Ruth studied at Sarah Lawrence College in New York with noted poet Jean Valentine. At Edinburgh University, Ruth was mentored by outstanding Gallic poet, Sorley Maclean. She founded the LSE Poetry Group while obtaining a degree from the London School of Economics. As well as completing a D. Phil at York University, Ruth has published numerous academic articles and books. More recently, Ruth established a micro-publishing venture, Noises from the Bridge. Ruth is a member of the Academy of American Poets, the Royal Exchange Theatre, Manchester and the Hebden Writers Group.
