Hailing from the flatlands of eastern England, Noel was raised by a family of meerkats a few hundred yards from a motorway service station on the A47. A product of his environment, his formative years were spent standing on tiptoes and protecting his 14 younger brothers from snakes and scorpions. Sensing his son's love of writing, his mother, worked extra shifts at the watering hole to send him to journalism school. The rest, as they say, is history.
