Nina has lived in British Columbia for a least 25 years. Previously living in Nova Scotia, she left the UK in 1978 to work as a music teacher in the eastern provinces. She retrained as an audiologist in speech and language therapy and worked children and families with speech and hearing deficits in Vancouver. Today she is an elder activist working to protect and conserve the first growth trees of the temperate forests of British Columbia on Vancouver Island.
