Miki has worked in various paid and unpaid roles throughout his life. Project managing festivals of music and cycling, mostly one day events in Yorkshire. He has promoted and organised musical benefit nights, stalls, workshops in schools and at festivals, and given public talks on behalf of Survival for the rights of threatened Tribal Peoples, for whom he was a local coordinator and also a trustee for five years. In recent years he was the chair of John Lally International Foundation and founding member of Groves Repair and Share and Kimberlow Hill Tiny Forest Project at York University. He runs a small cycle hearse business and is very proud to have been cultural events coordinator at York Ccemetery over one summer in the late 90s.
