Martin Schweiger

Martin Schweiger

Martin is a retired public health consultant. His interest in communicable disease led him to working on risk and how to use the assessment of risk to guide the response to incidents. In seeking to make the responses robust, a computerised system (called HPZone) was developed. In the 1970s he worked with VSO in Bangladesh in the aftermath of their War of Independence. Martin is a Quaker and views all war and armed conflict as bad for public health.
