Kat is one of the co-chairs for LGBTIQA+ Greens. They stood as a candidate for Bristol City Council in May 2024 for Southmead ward and were key to developing the Green Party policies on trans rights. They have also been involved with numerous trans organisations, where they helped deliver mental health programmes and mutual aid to the community. They often speak at events and panels on areas covering gender, sexuality, disability, race and class.
