Ian Richardson

Ian Richardson is, he confesses, a Lancastrian! But since starting at Leeds University in 1977, he’s spent most of the following 48 years living in, teaching in, writing about and best of all, exploring, God’s Own Country. He now lives in one of the most beautiful towns in England – Beverley. For five decades he’s been exploring the endless variety of landscapes and heritage that only Yorkshire offers. His walking articles appeared regularly in Dalesman between 2015 and 2023. He’s an amateur photographer, but his photos are often used by regional media, such as the Yorkshire Post and BBC Look North.
