Ian Bond

Ian Bond is the deputy director of the Centre for European Reform, a think-tank with offices in London, Brussels and Berlin. Prior to joining the CER as foreign policy director in 2013, he was a British diplomat for 28 years, with postings to Nato, Moscow, the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, Riga (where he was British Ambassador) and Washington (where he was joint head of the foreign and security policy group, focusing on US foreign policy towards Europe, the former Soviet Union, Asia and Africa). He has written extensively on European foreign policy, transatlantic relations, Russia, China, the US, and the foreign and defence policy implications of Brexit.
