Dr Laura De Pretto is a cross-cultural psychologist working on migration, identity, and people’s relationships with the natural environment across cultures. Her research focuses on diaspora communities and examines environmental sustainability, green spaces, and public responses to air pollution in Asia and the UK. She earned her PhD in Applied Psychology at East China Normal University, Shanghai. After serving as Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, she joined Leeds Trinity University, where she is Senior Lecturer and leads internationalisation initiatives. She is co-editor of the forthcoming volume Migration Psychology, bringing together international scholars to examine migration’s human dimensions.
