John, my ‘big brother’ who I sought to emulate, was a role model whom I could relate to, and who often pointed me in the right direction. As adults, we went our separate ways and lived 100 miles apart, but remained close and supportive of each other. When John was diagnosed with his illness and the subsequent problems that ensued, it made me determined to assist Barbara with her quest to seek ‘justice for John’. It was a long, hard road that we had to travel and determination was the key to our success.
