Read moreDetailsDr David Miller is senior lecturer in the Department of English Literature, at Manchester Metropolitan University, general editor of the Journal of Literature and Trauma Studies and co-director along with Dr Lucia Aiello, of The Centre for Literature and Trauma Studies. His publications include a monograph on poetry and philosophy and articles dealing with tragedy, trauma, melancholy and poetry. David was a coal miner for ten years in Yorkshire. After completing his PhD at the University of Sheffield he taught in universities in the UK and Europe. He has an ongoing interest in Italian and Russian 20th-century history and culture.
