Cathy Goldthorpe was born, married and worked as an early years’ teacher in the East Riding of Yorkshire. She has always felt blessed to live in such a beautiful area. Her son and daughter attended Bridlington School and both went on to universities in Manchester. The irrevocable damage done by the referendum was pivotal to her life, with the threat to her family’s future and our country's democracy setting her on a course of resistance to Brexit which still focuses her thoughts and actions seven years later.
