Barbara and John had run a small business in Leeds, moving to Wales when they retired. Fifteen years later Barbara decided to write a book about the fun they had there. Needing another project when she had finished writing and, as her brother and his wife had started training guide dog puppies, she decided to print 1,000 copies and try to raise funds for the charity by selling them. They have just passed the £2,500 total which allows her to name a puppy. She and her family are excitedly awaiting the puppy’s arrival which will be named in John’s memory.
