Ann has recently retired after 20 years teaching. She was head of English in two inner-city schools, both in deprived areas. She spent the last nine years in a North Yorkshire special educational needs school, the main focus of which was autism/ADHD and related conditions. As assistant headteacher her main responsibilities were teaching and learning, and staff development. She introduced coaching and led on sexism, racism, and equality, changing the curriculum to ensure wider representation. She's passionate about equity in society, so has come off any social media that resists that concept. She's now finding new ways to keep busy, while luxuriating in retirement!
